  A professional musician of 30+ years, Born in Tx, John was very instrumental in the Austin music scene of the 70's and now has made his mark in the Internet Music Scene of the new milleniun. John won the Kerrville Folk Festival Songwriters contest in the early 70's and appeared on the BF Deal Sampler v1 (BF Deal Records 1977) with Nanci Griffith, Frank Zigal and Will Walker. John has appeared as a backup vocalist on many recordings, one he sang backup on, "Fool For A Blonde" (Bartlett), was in the cult movie classic "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". John has performed as a single artist, with bands and as an actor, he played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar in Flagstaff AZ in 1993, Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof in 1999 and has performed in many venues, from small intimate clubs, large concert halls, outdoor concerts, radio, TV, to theatre, and has opened for such musicians as Taj Mahal, The Outlaws, John Stewart, Jesse Winchester, Marcia Ball, the late Doug Sahm and the Texas Tornados, The Lost Gonzo Band (Jerry Jeff Walker's backup band), Herman's Hermits, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and many more. John has shared the bill with people like Lucinda Williams, Nanci Griffith, Townes Van Zandt, Jerry Jeff Walker, and more and has Headlined at too many places to mention. With a flare for any style of music, he's comfortable in any genre, it's hard to pin down this talented musician to any one label.
