Capers Simmons

  I'm a songwriter, first of all, since my other abilities - musicianship, singing, composition and lyric writing - are all encompassed in that title. My main influences include Rob Thomas, Billy Joel, the Eagles, and other 20th-century pop/rock songwriters, as well as Robert Frost, Rudyard Kipling and other poets who used meter and structure in their poems to great effect. I try to combine these influences and infuse the mixture with my own personality, creating a new sound that (hopefully) can't be found anywhere else, but at the same time is familiar enough to keep everyone listening.
