  The creative force that sparked Between the Rain is a musician from the Detroit suburbs named Tim Donlon. Having spent time on much of the East Coast, Donlon has written music with many artists in various styles. Influences in hard rock and electronica characterize the sound, although that would be the tendency and not the rule.
   Traces from other genres make appearances from time to time, giving way to changes in musical direction. The result creates a mixture of stylistic elements with a foundation in the soul of rock.
